Family Trials is a separate mode independent of the primary story campaign. It adds a new dungeon called Zyklus that, like many places in Children of Morta, is riddled with Corruption.

Gameplay

You’ll have one shot to take your chosen Bergson family member, available from the start with their acting abilities, through floors teeming with enemy hordes. In addition to main goals, you’ll have side objectives as well.

A new talent system replaces the existing skill tree. When characters level up, they get to choose a unique talent, and each Bergson has 40 talents.

Upgrades and mods for skills can be stacked and tinkered with, so you can experiment with different character builds. Runes no longer drop in dungeons e, becoming part of the talent system. 

Family Trails Update Features:

The Family Trials update introduces a new game mode that adds a fresh and challenging experience to the game. The gameplay is designed to test the player's skills, as they face hordes of enemies and overcome deadly traps and obstacles.

In this mode, players can choose one of the Bergson family members, each with their unique abilities, and fight through randomized dungeons that become progressively more challenging.
